Deposit Bonuses
Most soccer betting websites have bonuses for newly arriving members. Most often it is an initial deposit bonus where you receive a certain percentage of your first deposit in bonus money. For example, Bodog.com has a 10% initial deposit bonus. This applies only to your very first deposit, not your first string of deposits. There is a minimum deposit amount that is usually really low like $15 or $20. On Bodog there is no maximum amount you can deposit but each deposit method offered on Bodog has some sort of maximum amount.
Deposit bonuses are very useful and are in some cases the reason someone becomes a member of that site. Some other sites have free money that is offered too. For example, if you make a deposit of a certain amount you may be eligible to receive a certain amount of bonus money. A lot of times people forget to read the terms of the bonuses and try to withdraw bonus moneys before their conditions are met and in turn lose that bonus. A lot of people also choose to opt out of bonuses because they think they are a scam of some sort. That is not true in the least. The only reason people ever get “scammed” is because they try to withdraw funds before they ever meet the bonus terms. Bonuses are simply a very effective way to drive traffic to their sites.
Deposit Rules
Like previously mentioned, every bonus has a set of rules along with it. A common misconception is that you can just become a member of a site, receive the bonus after a deposit and then withdraw all the money. That is never able to happen. On Bodog’s 10% initial deposit there is a main rule that says that in order for any money to be withdrawn from the site the player must roll over both the amount deposited and the bonus once. Rolling over means that the money a player makes through betting action must equal or exceed the amount of your initial deposit, including the bonus money.
If you do try to withdraw your money from Bodog before the conditions are met, you will lose the bonus money plus whatever money you actually made on the site. Other sites offer different terms as far as their bonuses are concerned but most are relatively similar to Bodog’s. If used correctly bonuses can earn a player a large amount of what essentially becomes free money. To decide what bonus works best for you I would advise you to do a bit of shopping around on different betting sites to see which one offers the best bonus.
